About us
La Maruca Nuts is a vertically integrated agricultural society that produces, processes and commercializes high quality walnuts. It was founded by three families with expertise in the agroindustrial field, looking to expand and diversify markets.
The orchards
The operation includes two orchards in Valle de Uco: 190-hectare Finca La Maruca in Vistaflores (90 ha. dedicated to grape and 100 ha. to walnuts), and 225-hectare Finca Los Castaños, in Villa Seca (all of it dedicated to walnuts).
The product: Chandler walnut
Walnuts are an excellent source of essential fatty acids, such as omega 3 and omega 6. Its kernels are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Some of its benefits are the strengthening of the immune system, prevention of certain types of cancer and the reduction of cardiovascular disease risk factors.
The process
Our integrated approach allows us to guarantee a maximum of 48 hours between harvesting and storage of the hulled and dried walnut.
This advantage ensures a product that retains its light color, low acidity and natural flavors.
